Dickinson Independent School District (DISD) has officially approved the 2026–2027 academic calendar, providing families and staff with key dates to help plan for the upcoming school year.
According to the approved calendar, Transition Day for students will take place on August 12, 2026, followed by the first day of school on August 13, 2026. These early dates are designed to support a smooth start to the year for students and campuses.
The school year will conclude on May 27, 2027, which will serve as both the last day of school and graduation day for the Class of 2027—marking an exciting milestone for graduating seniors and their families.
The calendar also outlines staff development days, holidays, student breaks, and other important instructional dates to support teaching, learning, and family planning throughout the year.
